Anonymous said: Hello!!!! On your confusion on the post about there "being no medical reason to assign genders to babies," actually, no one is assigning genders to babies. Pink is just used to describe how a baby has been born with a vagina. No ones forcing a baby to be a girl. They just dress them up in cute pink things (and with ppl with penises cute blue things) babies have no concept of gender and they call babies "male or female" for medical purposes because that's thier biological sex.
Okay but you do know that doctors literally tell parents “it’s a boy/girl” at birth & parents will often check before birth if their baby is a “boy/girl” based on genitals, right?
& babies are literally raised to be a gender that has been decided by their parents & their doctors?
& strangers will often ask if the baby is a boy or girl if they haven’t already decided the answer for themselves?
& we are all assigned an arbitrary gender at birth?
& we are all assigned a binary sex at birth? & not everyone fits into the preset requirements for “male/female”? & babies have been #mutilated for it?
& calling a baby “male/female” in regards to their sex is actually gendering them? bcos saying “I’m a male girl” or “I’m a female man” makes no sense when male/man & female/woman are used interchangeably?
& medical discussion does not require the use of male/female terminology when you can literally just name genitals/hormones/organs & be even more accurate than you would be if you just said “male/female”?
